The enforcer squad of the Western Hills Clan is in big trouble. The men they have there are lazy and not too bright. Alpha John Marquis gets some rouge bear shifters imported from other clans to join and finds himself with quite the bunch. There are surprises and drama but in the end it all turns out to be good.

Being Alpha of a clan the size of Western Hills had many responsibilities. The first priority was to make sure the clan was financially stable. John Marquis had done a fantastic job at that. The clan had very hefty checking and savings accounts plus had a great stock portfolio. His second priority was to keep the clan protected. That proved to be more of a challenge. When he took over the clan two years ago there was no enforcer squad at all. They only had what they called fighters. John had charged his Beta Wayne Ramsey with setting up an enforcer squad and getting them trained. Wayne had done all he could but they still were not up to a solid defensive squad. The biggest problem was the “Fighters” were more brawn and not so much in the brain department. The head enforcer was Blain Edwards and he was a pretty good guy and had it in him to be a great head enforcer if he had the material to work with. His second was Barry Vance and he also was capable enough and that’s the extent of their assets. John had borrowed one of his brother’s, Clyde Marquis Alpha of the Bear’s Den Clan, enforcers to help with the training to no avail.
