Faced with a fatal cancer diagnosis, a man has the opportunity to travel back in time to try and alter the faulty DNA that he inherited from his alcoholic grandfather. Set back in 1900 in the midst of the development of the U.S. Navy's first submarines, the story deals with the complex relationships that could occur if a person were able to travel back in time to interact with their grandparents when they themselves were young.
