It is hard to emerge unscathed from her reading, for emotion is her matter, decanted by a serene reflection that only a spiritual journey for her inner life can mature in the poet, owner of a very personal style where rather than personification of the Heron, it is identification with it, the "heronization" of the poetic self.
VISIBLE ETERNITY is a great spiritual poem, which speaks of an inner tearing and a reconstruction of the innermost Being of the poet by bonding with a Supreme Being, a transfiguration and transmutation of the poetic Self after a history of absence, disaffection and alienation. It conveys a profound existential experience of Ecstasy without religion, of spirituality without mysticism. It is the story of a crossing of the desert and take-off to a new life after a change of skin, a detachment of aged emotions and old routines. A spiritual resurrection after a period of dissolution of the Self in the universe, and the emergence of a new released Being, more serene and wise, more autonomous and light, as the Heron that knows how to flow with the air and fly against the tide in the middle of the storm.
This book is pure poetry: it is a say not saying, babbling (cf. San Juan de la Cruz), a knowledge not knowing, an innocent, primitive knowledge of life. And it is a singing, or better a canticle, with its inner harmony and rhythm paused or syncopated, guided by brief stanzas and condensed verses, which engrave on the page a visual architecture, almost a calligram.
