I discoverd a new author!
There is something about Ms. Gold's writing that drew me in so quickly. The book is not full of surprises, not murder and mayhem, no steamy scenes, but there's just something about the use of the language that just grabs you in and you have to see what's going to happen with the characters. It's a steady ride of getting to know them all and I just love it! I won't rehash the storyline, but if you like romance with well developed characters and a heartfelt story, do yourself a favor and grab this book!
Intriguing
I found this book to be interesting, emotionally engaging and intriguing. The writer uses enough detail to allow you to feel as though you're in the story. I would recommend this book to anyone and I especially enjoyed that it had adult content without being brash or unsavory. I gave it five stars because I just could not put it down until I finished the story. I cannot wait for the rest of the series.
You'll wish Osprey Cove was a real place!
The vivid descriptions of the scenery made me wish Osprey Cove was really a place I could escape to! I found the characters well-developed and relatable, particularly Catherine. There is just enough mystery and intrigue to really keep you hooked and wondering what's going to happen next, both with Doug and with a certain someone else (you'll see...no spoilers!). I can't wait for book two in the series to see what happens. If you're looking for a great read with a strong lead character, this will not disappoint!
