The perfect workbook and manual for anyone who is struggling with spirituality or who is trying to learn more about spirituality

In the Sunlight of the Spirit, Spirituality Training Manual has been used successfully by numerous individuals, residential recovery programs, out-patient programs, professional recovery coaches, aftercare professionals, counselors, therapists, probation officers, ministries, recovery retreats, sponsors, sober companions, and family members.
It is all quite amazing!
We are all spiritual beings. We live in a body, and we possess a soul. The person inside of us is our spirit The Spirit is a direct fragment of the Divine or God.
We live in our bodies while we are here on this earth. Our souls (minds) can carry much spiritual dirt or grime from our pasts. The Soul relates closely to the Earthly plane and the human experience. Our Spirits are the highest form of whom and what we are. Our Spirit is devoid of all elements of personality and character. The Spirit is a direct fragment of the Divine or God.
The Higher-self or Soul is that part of us which guides, through intuition and through its connection with the Spirit and with the Divine or God. (Earthly affairs.) The Soul can respond to its own good qualities and to the good qualities around it only to the degree in which that good quality is made manifest in its earthly incarnations. There are no evil Souls or Spirits. The Soul has conscience. The soul understands good and evil; right and wrong. The Soul grows, with choice and karma, guided by the Spirit, and then, in turn, is ever guided by God or the Divine. Finally, the Soul is of Spirit essence; it has its own body -- Not material, but energy.

SPIRITUALITY CAN MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE

What do we mean when we talk about being spiritually fit? Some think that spirituality is all about being connected. Being connected with other human beings, and with a Deity, or Divine presence. Spirituality can also be about meaning. What is important and meaningful in our lives? For some, it is religious, for some not. Let’s take a look at some of the things people talk about when they talk about Spirituality.
1. A sense of deep self, or soul and reflecting on life itself.
2. Ethics, Responsibilities, Values, and Beliefs.
3. Connection with God, self, others.
4. The meaning and significance of life.
5. Service and kindness to others.
How do people stay “Spiritually fit?”
1. Having a set of beliefs or values that guide them and gives meaning to their lives.
2. Living with a purpose.
3. Being connected to the world around them.
4. For some through organized religion.
5. Spending time in nature and connecting with nature.
6. Volunteering or doing random acts of kindness.
7. Being kind to animals, playing with and taking care of a pet.
People who are spiritually fit tend to have better coping skills, stronger self-esteem, and more solid relationships. There is also evidence that those that are spiritually fit can bounce back better from crisis and stress, loneliness, and depression.

Professional Reviews

Editorial Review
In the Sunlight of the Spirit written by Rev. Dr. Kewvin T. Coughlin Ph.D.
Rev., Dr. Kevin sent me a few different books for review, but what's going on in my world right now I thought this would be the PERFECT book for me and after I finished it my intuition was right.

The way Rev., Dr. Kevin approaches the topic of spirituality is quite simple and easy to read. As addicts we tend to complicate matters even with long term sobriety you still struggle with faith, but after reading this book and doing the work I walk away with a deeper connection to my higher power.

I love how he states "People who are spiritually fit tend to have better coping skills, stronger. -self-esteem, and more solid relationships." That has totally been my experience in my journey of recovery. I totally recommend this workbook for anyone who wants to strengthen their relationship with their higher power and have a better understanding of the application of spirituality in their lives.

A MUST READ!

Thank you, Rev., Dr. Kevin for keeping it
simple.

Get a Sunny Outlook on Life
In the Sunlight of the Spirit is a beautiful book that works to define spirituality on a personal level. It offers a candid discussion about spirituality and how it can manifest in our everyday lives. There are really great questions at the end of each section to help you note key takeaways from each. I found this book inspiring and enlightening and very thoughtful, not preachy at all. It has valuable lessons to tell and methods for living a more fulfilled and healthy life. This is an exceptional book that will bring a smile to your face and help you answer some lingering questions you might have about faith. Great read!

Five Stars!
This manual and workbook is an excellent addition to Kevin Coughlin's series of recovery books.
