Separated by Time...Bonded by Fate
When a young man turns to dust right before his eyes, Noah Winston is hurtled into the center of a time-bending mystery. In his quest to uncover the truth, he’s driven deep into local legend and discovers a town that vanished over one hundred years ago. As he struggles to untangle the secrets of the past, he meets a family who he must save from the curse and finds himself falling in love.
Can he save them from a fate worse than death and find true love, or will time slip away and steal her from him forever?
Excerpt
The four strangers peered over their shoulder but continued to run. Gaining momentum, Noah tried to close the distance between them.
“Wait!”
Abruptly the girl halted and turned around, she put up her hand in a stop motion and Noah eased back.
She was beautiful. Her long, chestnut locks flowed from the bottom of a simple white cap, framing the delicate jawline of her porcelain skin. Her green eyes, like two deep pools of emerald, held a hint of sadness.
He took a step forward but she nodded her head. Standing still, his ears grew deaf from the pounding in his chest. He tried to speak, but the words stuck in the back of his throat.
A light breeze swooshed the bottom of her dress as she quickly turned and joined the rest of the group. Picking up speed, they rushed toward Stewart Ave.
He didn’t understand the need that tugged at his soul. She was nobody to him and yet, he had to know her. They approached the corner, across the street a dirt field with the partially constructed First Presbyterian Church, stood behind a chain-link fence. Noah observed as the older of the four peeled back a portion of the fence and they squeezed their way through.
"Stop!" He yelled.
The girl turned toward him, the faintest of smiles crossed her lips. One of the younger kids pulled at her sleeve, severing her gaze.
He watched as one by one they leaped through the framework of the door and disappeared.
