Station Wagon Funnies contains three of the funniest stories from the dark recesses of the 1960's. First is a father/son classic titled, "Buying Cars with my Dad." For my dad, car buying was a kind of sport: him against the salesman. And they both loved it.
Next is a true story titled, "Terror in the Heartland." It's about a car trip with my family back to the Midwest where my dad grew up. I found it to be a terrifying experience.
Last, but certainly not least, is a story titled, "What I did During my Summer Vacation" when I was trapped in hot, burning Phoenix during the summer of my junior year in high school. The mind does strange things during the heat of a boring desert town.
