his book has so much information about New York City's neighborhoods; beautifully put together with old postcards and pictures of how each area changed by the 20th Century. I'm a native New Yorker and learned a lot I didn't know. Just a great book !!!

A unique view of New York City
Wow! what an interesting read. As a native New Yorker for my first twenty-five years I thought I knew just about all there was to know about the city; not true. I couldn't put this book down. It would be especially appealing to tourists since it doesn't have the dry information of the usual tourist guide. I really love the author's subway mosaics renderings and wonder if they're for sale anywhere.
