Communication Problems in Relationships are nothing new. Neither is advice for Men on how to better relate to women by becoming more understanding and supportive listeners. The fact that men and women can generally seem to be in very different bubbles from each other doesn't help obviously. 'The Power Of Umm' is a fresh approach to bridging the divide. Since communication precedes pretty much everything we might do with our partner, even a slight tweak for the better has the potential to make a big difference. This is difference in how we are seen by our partner, our likeability and how easy we are to get on with. So guys, when it comes to conversations with women, have we been missing something?
Based on my own personal experience to this point in life, I have to say yes.
It was this realization and a whole lot of observation, that led to the The Power of Umm.. making its way into print.
The book looks at how, with a little effort, we can easily improve the way in which we interact with women in a conversational setting. This improved conversational interaction has the potential to positively shape a woman's perception of us.
That's a lot of P's obviously- but there's one more; because so much of one's Personality is conveyed by the way in which we communicate with others.
Making ourselves more likable, in terms of the way we interact with women in conversations is both a realistic and worthwhile goal. Whether it's conversations with our partner, a work colleague, someone we meet on a train, a friend, a date or any other situation; enhancing the way we come across is all good.
