The glass on the pond-
roof to fish and floor to bugs;
quiet home to thoughts.

Abracadabra-
a magic word we all know;
another is peace.

Alone with the drips;
thoughtful moments hang around
in the mood they make.

Dream mountain retreat
invisible among trees;
stresses fade away.

I have no smart words
for describing this feeling-
just watching the moon.

Slapping waves soothe me
winding back the hands of time-
to bubble gum days.

Feet up on the chair
just listening to the birds-
singing relaxing.
Peace cannot prosper
as long as it’s them and us;
faith’s flawed paradigm.

Pine cones on needles
fresh crisp still silent forest;
I walk so slowly.

Wispy clouds blue sky
birds so high almost unseen;
blinks getting longer.

Where there is power
peace will enjoy little room;
irony of man.
