This is a compilation of true ghost stories, from my years of being a paranormal investigator. Most are from Florida.
I am a medium and a psychic, so I accidentally fell into being a paranormal investigator (PC for "ghost hunter.") At first, my husband and I did it for fun, but then we did a "History and Hauntings" tour of our town for 2 years around Halloween, and charged people to go along.
Some of the stories in this book are from those tours, and the things that happened there. Papers being moved or tossed around like confetti, a small boy hiding from his abusive father, dogs hearing ghostly intruders and chasing them, barking at the top of their lungs, etc.
As long as you leave the lights on, you should be able to sleep just fine.

Investigation #3
This investigation took place in the fall, at a local cemetery, and my husband and I and a local medium went along. It had the reputation of being haunted. We were to find out that the reputation was well deserved.
We saw strange lights appearing where there should be no lights, like on top of headstones. There were footsteps on the gravel pathways, but no bodies to make them, and other odd phenomena.
At one point, I wandered off alone, to the children's section of the cemetery, which was on a bit of a hill, to see if I could make contact with any of the kids, as they were usually pretty receptive, and playful, running in and around (and through) the headstones and monuments.
This particular night, they were quiet, so I walked on down to the next section of the cemetery, which was an adult section, again. I was talking to myself, wondering aloud what some of these people's stories were, who they were in life, and things like that. As I walked up to a large double sized marble headstone, it got extremely warm, even hot, and all of a sudden, I heard a loud, angry male voice coming from the direction of the headstone.
"GET OUT OF HERE! GET OUT!"
Startled, I said "You don't have to tell me twice, mister, I'm outta here!" and took off to where the others were. That spirit was definitely not in a good mood!
