Funny, Grisly, Maddening, Twisty
I'll do the best I can on a smartphone, as my son is dominating the computer as I write this. I won't go into detail giving a synopsis of the book, as other reviewers have done that. I not only grade a book on my level of enjoyment, but on what I perceive other readers might expect in a book of the genre it is represented by. As a reader, I enjoyed the humor, particularly the introduction of the female character Liz. I think the author has great character development and dialogue...I identified with the main character because I recognize the trauma caused by a control freak (Frank). If you're looking for a book that has a character you love to hate, this one is perfect.
If you're looking for a dangerous romance, this will do it. Fan of grisly violence? This author has found some fun ways to describe blood and guts. Oh, and don't let me forget to mention the surpring twists.
Sure, there are a few grammatical errors, but it is minor, especially for her first book.
For all these reasons, I give this book five stars.
