BUSTED
Rob was cruising along enjoying some Rolling Stones on his 8-Track tape player when he heard a faint, but familiar sound coming from behind him. He lowered the volume on the tape player. It was a police siren, and it was getting louder as it headed his way. Rob pulled to the right lane and slowed down. He checked his rear-view mirror. He could see the flashing lights of a police car in the distance. The siren was getting closer, directly behind him now. He turned for a quick look and a small black foreign car flashed around him at high speed followed by another flash as the state police followed in hot pursuit.
He keyed his radio. “Capcom, this is Sigma, Copy? We have a high speed pursuit in progress. State police are tracking a small black sports sedan."

My Life for Her by Robert J Saniscalchi is a story of love that contains plenty of action, adventure, drama and faith. In My Life for Her Rob Marrino is a Vietnam vet who made a life as a police officer Pikesville. He has a wife, a son and a daughter and he is enjoying his life with his family, despite his PTSD. That all changes for him when he becomes involved in a high speed chase with two brother who are members of a major Columbian drug cartel. In this pursuit he kills one of the brothers leaving the other one angry and out for blood. Months later when his wife is abducted by the same Rob stops at nothing to get her back.

Most of us have one or more people in our lives whom we love. Some of us have even said that these are people whom we would risk, or even lay down our lives for. Most of us are fortunate enough to never have to test those statements.

Having already served his country in Vietnam and now as a police officer in Pikesville, Rob finds himself having to risk it all in order to save his wife from the leaders of a drug cartel that he just took down in a recent high speed chase. We fade in like a fly on the wall watching the typical American family. Robert J Saniscalchi, has used a clever ruse here, the slow beginning is very deceptive. This fast paced action novel is filled with drug cartels, kidnappings, torture murder and other sorts of mayhem, everything you'd expect from a crime thriller.
Vietnam veteran turned cop, Rob Marino, has no idea what is headed his way. He had no way of knowing that the man he killed in a high speed chase was the brother of a top South American Drug Lord. He may not have been the only one in the chase but it was his gun that made the kill and to the brother of the dead man that is all that mattered.
Father and son were at a little league game, his wife was supposed to come when she got off work. She never showed. Somehow she just disappeared. An FBI agent who had taken a personal interest in the activities of this cartel gives Rob the information he needs to find her.
This is where the plot gets interesting indeed, Rob gets a buddy that served with him in `Nam and together they set out to rescue his wife. This is a great read. The action is swift and creative. A must read for all the action fans. Like me you will casting the book with your favorite action stars, hoping for a movie version.

Another wonderful story involving the life of Rob Marrino, a Vietnam Veteran that has now become a police officer. The story starts when at the end of a high speed chase the brother of a head member of a Columbian drug cartel is killed by Rob. The surviving brother threatens revenge and soon thereafter Rob's wife is kidnapped and taken to Columbia. With law enforcement, including the FBI, involved, Rob still takes matters into his own hands and with the help of his best friend, Tex, also a Vietnam Veteran, goes to Columbia to rescue his wife. This fast paced story line covers their rescue attempt going up against the drug cartel. "My Life For Her" is a well-written crime drama surrounded by love with glimpses of PTSD flashbacks suffered by Rob. This book is compelling and a real page-turner. I couldn't put it down, read it in one sitting. Robert Saniscalchi is one of my favorite authors, so I knew I was in for a treat and he didn't let me down. "My Life For Her" is a strong, satisfying novel that I really enjoyed. A definite 10 out of 10! I highly recommend this stirring and enjoyable book.

Rob is the main protagonist, but it’s Tex who steals the show. Saniscalchi expertly provides him a brusque, confident persona. Tex’s clever analytical mind under duress will delight readers.
