Swinging Hopelessly. is the story of a man battling life's many demons. Tim is a handsome, smart but struggling lawyer who dreams of a fulfilling life - one of relevance and significance, which he looks for in questionable places. He finds himself inadvertently thrust into the role of a rights lawyer and activist fighting for causes he barely believes in and battles to navigate through numerous morally dubious situations.

It’s not really that we grew up poor lest my rhetoric lead you to surmise me leading a life of penury. We were always comfortably middle class. Which equates to very little luxury in New York. My dad was a humble hardworking accountant and my mum a simple housewife – an arrangement which was becoming increasingly less common but one which worked perfectly for them. Both New York natives, they were fortunate enough to have bought property in Queens in the late 70’s prior to the mass city-wide gentrification. As a prudent pragmatist my dad’s life was punctuated by fiscal conservatism – a compulsion which assisted him in putting his three kids through degree programs at Columbia wholly on his own dime. Unfortunately, education has not translated into financial reward for me. I have a masters degree in law from the city’s best university and all I have is a crappy doc review job which barely pays the rent. I will always regret not becoming a doctor. Not because I ever had any inclination towards the profession but because they don’t make broke doctors in this city. I caught myself standing alone dead in the middle of an open bar. I had to get some booze and change that...
