Awful flashbacks start to plague her, and she doesn't know how to deal with them. Her perfect relationship starts to suffer, despite everything Paul tries to do to keep her afloat. What will it take Crystal to confront the demons of her past and realize that her life is wonderful despite her emotional baggage and trauma? Filled with romance, passion, intrigue, and traumatic abuse. This novella of redemption and love is sure to delight readers and is a quick read with some steamy scenes that will be sure to delight. I was contacted by Skye Bailey to see if I wished to read this book. At times the emotions are extremely strong and raw ...but that being said ...I appreciate when an author can take you there, like you can feel it like you are there being in front and center ... you know the triggers, u know the cliffhanger deal ... I appreciate that, that is the only word I can think of at the moment ...but there are not secrets there ...the author gives you a disclaimer and you know it will be ...I think reading (books) are such an unique experience for each and every reader... how you might feel is not going to be what someone will go through or feel. Maybe something in your past or present draws on something that one of the character went through and whatnot??! i have never been one to shy away from a cliffhanger or a book that has a disclaimer saying this or that. i am from an era where we didn't have those ..reading was an escape and the author is the driver who is going to take me there, and i hold on for the maybe bumpy ride, or escape, whatever I am so there... not saying i don't read books where i am like i need a break after the book, and i don't tend to read the same genre over and over, i love mysteries, i love that edge of your seat kind of read, i just love that!! ... I look forward to more from Skye and seeing where we will head next in this series??!

This is the first book in the Beautiful series, it is not a standalone as the story continues into the next book. This book is about a woman who has survived terrible things as a child and as a young adult. She fights for a future of love and happiness. As these dreams of a better future come true, the demons of the past begin to intrude. What a compelling story but heed the sensitivity warnings. On to the next book in the series.
