An engaging fantasy built on a scaffolding of philosophy and metaphysics
I enjoyed the intricate and deeply considered metaphysical/religious construction of the world/universe in which this story is set. Beyond that, however, I found the characters and plot well-crafted and entertaining. Overall, an immersive and engaging beginning to a trilogy of stories. I did have some issues with reading the story on my Kindle app on my phone. The writing was integrated with artwork that was attractive to look at, but which seemed to interfere with the app's ability to properly load the pages and move between them. It was a minor inconvenience, but a bit annoying.

My only other comment is that this is book one of a series so that, while it does come to a satisfying conclusion, there are central plot elements that are not resolved. Readers should be aware that this is not an entirely stand-alone story.

Refreshing original
I found this story to be quite interesting, takes you on a journey of adventure and romance. The Mirror Of Desire, by Ananta Govinda, is a love story in a format of a fantasy novel.

The storyline and characters definitely leave you deep in thought. Kastuba's personal quest of a mysterious woman who needs rescuing in his dreams. The illustrations are detailed and original. The artwork on every page is beautiful to look at as you are reading along. Plus the soundtrack with the book is an awesome addition.

The plot points are filled with on edge of your seat adventure, builds connections with the characters, and keeps the reader engaged till the end - Still wanting more.

I used the kindle app and I did not experience any issues. The only thing I would like to see fixed is the size of the text in the book.

The best phase of the book - A message of peace and words of respect! (ring out to me in a world we live in today). This story is appropriate for any young teen or adult that loves a fantasy novel.

It is definitely worth buying and reading.

Looking forward to seeing where Kastuba and Adi's adventure leads them.

This is an attractive book all around! The story is well written, whimsical, romantic, and well told. The illustrations are fantastic! I feel a lot of hard work went into this. I've played a paladin myself in a certain wildly popular MORPG, and if folks enjoy stories like that they will definitely enjoy this particular work. If you purchase the ebook, it reads better on a computer or something bigger that handles full-color images.
