Trapped in a terrifying cage of psychological warfare, Sara must find a way to escape her dangerously obsessed captor, Josh, to reach the man she loves. Driven by an unbreakable soulmate bond, Devan is ready to risk his life to save her before Josh's lethal trap snaps shut forever.
The English countryside lay silent beneath a swelling full moon, but inside Sara, a frantic countdown had begun. Every ragged breath whispered Devan’s name—the only man whose touch had ever made her feel alive, safe, and truly free. But loving him was a dangerous luxury. To reach him, she first had to outrun a monster. For years, Josh had kept Sara caged in a terrifying web of psychological warfare and suffocating control. He didn't just want her; he was consumed by her. Every past attempt to slip away had only made him tighten his chokehold, proving that walking away for good would carry a lethal price tag. Then came Devan. From the second their paths crossed, he didn't just see her beauty—his soul recognized her as home. Fierce, unyielding, and fiercely protective, Devan swore an oath to tear down the shadows hunting her. He is willing to risk his life, his future, and everything he owns to pull her into the light. Now, as fate draws the lovers into a desperate collision course, Josh’s trap begins to snap shut. When a divine, once-in-a-lifetime love goes head-to-head with a deadly, murderous obsession, will Sara and Devan break the chains of the past, or will the spreading darkness swallow them both whole?
Excerpt
“You’re not going!” Josh Harper’s voice ripped through the apartment like a snapped wire. “And you are certainly not flying halfway around the world to England—not on your own! Not without me, that is. I absolutely forbid it. Do you hear me? I said, I forbid it.”
Sara Collins turned slowly from the bedroom doorway; a handful of clothes clutched in her arms. “Excuse me?”
“I said,” Josh repeated, leaning against the kitchen counter like he owned the place, “you’re not going to spend weeks, even months in England.”
For a moment she just stared at him, unsure whether to laugh or scream.
“That’s funny,” she said slowly. “Because my plane ticket says otherwise.”
