In Blood Hunt the murder of a visiting businessman in San Francisco leads Inspector Garreth Mikaelian to the beautiful and hypnotic Lane Barber. Only Lane is a vampire and soon Garreth finds himself one, too. Now he has the problem of learning to cope with his new existence and hide it from others while tracking down Lane. And he has to figure out how to bring to justice someone who cannot be kept behind bars, also without revealing the existence of vampires.
In Bloodlinks Garreth thinks he has come to terms with being a vampire. But then someone begins a killing spree by methods used for killing vampires. Garreth suspects the involvement of a centuries-old vampire but cannot tell anyone for fear of revealing his own vampirism, not even when he finds himself becoming the chief suspect.
