The strange spirits who, without rhyme or reason, or so much as a 'by your leave', had suddenly inhabited The House On The Bluff and caused a multitude of problems.
It was not only that people were disappearing, which heightened their trepidation, but the menacing, almost threatening manifestations it showered on the human residents, while relegating the "harmless" spiritual entities into their own inescapable prison. A prison, which was so deep within the recesses of the house, they apparently couldn't or didn't dare attempt to escape or leave.
The new entities had taken control of the Inn On Adam's Point and were bound and determined to bring everyone into its clutches. But Jacob, one of the resident spirits, did try to break the hold that bound him and his compatriots only to fail in his attempt to warn Ethan, Abigail and or Tony.
The third and final episode begins with Ethan's return to Adams Point after taking some of the guests to Caleb's Cove in order to lesson the danger that might engulf them. After the disappearances of the McCutcheons and the Holms, he thought it was a wise move to make until he could unravel the mystery of their disappearances.
Ethan had deposited the four couples in the Bed and Breakfast motels in Caleb's Cove and asked Tom, one of the Sheriff's men to watch over them until he could return for them. And seeing that they were safely established within their rooms bid them good-bye and headed back to Adams Point, promising that he would return with the others as soon as he found them.

As Ethan and the others walked up from the dock they couldn’t help but notice that the wraith hovering above the Inn seemed to be agitated. They didn’t know what it was that caused the manifestation to writhe in such a way that it seemed almost as if it would swoop down and engulf them all.
They looked to see where the women were and felt they were far enough away to be safe —that is if anyone could be safe near the Inn at this point in time.
“Look at the way it’s moving. It seems as if it is extremely angry,” Lorenzo said quietly, staring at the apparition.
“I know,” Ethan said, “I don’t believe I’ve ever seen it like that before.”
“Can’t say that I did either,” Henri ventured. “But something sure has that thing up there angry as hell.”
“What makes you say that?” Ethan asked.
“Well, don’t you think it’s angry?”
“Yes, but at what?”
“How should I know?” Henri asked. “I simply stated a fact.”
“The women will be coming back soon,” Lorenzo interjected. “Maybe we ought to keep them away from here.”
“Where would you suggest we send them?” Ethan asked.
“Maybe to town?” Henri answered. His comment seemed more of a question than a statement.
Ethan looked at Henri, then to Lorenzo.
“Maybe Henri’s got a point there. It might be better if we send the women off to town where they would be safe.”
“Don’t think they will go without an argument,” Lorenzo said, with a slight laugh.
“I guess you’re right…At least where Abigail is concerned,” Ethan answered.
“Not just Abigail, neither will Bernadette or Sabrina, you can bet on that,” Lorenzo said.
“Yes, I am almost certain they think they we wouldn’t be safe without them here to protect us,” Henri said, his shoulders shaking with laughter.
Ethan looked at the other two men and wondered just what they would do if push came to shove and they had to force their wives to leave them behind. And where the hell is Tony? Ethan wondered. He should be around here somewhere, but where? I haven’t seen him since I took the others to Caleb’s Cove. I know damn well he wasn’t on the Abigail, and I know for certain he was standing with the others when I left —so where did he go? And what is he up to? Questions, questions, but Ethan didn’t have any answers. When he finally stopped thinking about Tony, and looked up he was surprised to see the others staring at him.

A brooding apparition hangs over the House on The Bluff on Adam’s Point. People are missing and the spirit that has taken control of the house isn’t about to give them up easily. While Ethan and Abigail are used to dealing with the vagaries of their house and the usual spirits that inhabit it, they have no idea how to deal with this new spirit who seems to be holding the house and its occupants hostage.
As the house both attracts and repels the inhabitants, Ethan, Abigail and their guests begin their search for their missing friends within. As they search the mystery surrounding the house starts to unwind as portals into other worlds open up. Can they survive long enough to save those who are trapped?
And what of the relic that an ancient Crusader knight seeks? Is the relic the key to what keeps the house standing? And what exactly will the Knight do to get the relic back to where it belongs?
I liked the prologue at the start of Adam’s Point. Although I had read the previous book, it was a good recap for me. I believe anyone picking this book up for the first time would easily be able to work out the preceding story by reading the prologue.
The characters in the book are portrayed as normal everyday people who are faced with the supernatural. Abigail and Ethan, the owners of the Inn, know they have ghosts but they have no specials skills or tricks to deal with the situation they are in. Their guests are the same. This made the story more believable to me as I kept thinking would I stick around on my vacation trying to solve a mystery or would I get out and go to somewhere like Club Med? I particularly like the character of Jacob, the ghostly retainer who stays to do his duty. There is something charming and honorable in that. I would have liked to have seen more of him in the book.
This is a spooky almost psychological mystery. I could not work out what was happening. Every time I thought I knew the answer I was wrong. I kept wondering if the House of the Bluff had a life all of its own or if it was being controlled by outside sprits.
I don’t want to ruin the story but I had to wonder why the whole relic thing had not come up as an issue before in the house especially due to the house’s history.
To me, Adam’s Point is an eerie what-the- heck-is-going-on-here book. You want to kept reading to find out the why and how and will the characters survive. That in itself makes it an good read.

When we last visited ADAMS POINT in the previous book, GATEKEEPER'S REALM, readers were left with many questions regarding the spirits that inhabit the made over Inn which had once been known as Pierce House. Guests have disappeared and there's a sinister wraith hoovering over the building. Some of the guests have opted to return to Caleb's Cove where they believe they'll be safe from the danger lurking at Adams Point, but are they really?
Ethan, Abigail and the guests who chose to remain at Adams Point have no clue what to expect from the wraith or what to do to appease it. With two couples already missing, Tony's mysteriously disappeared, and unbeknownst to anyone at Adams Point, Jill, one of the guests whom Ethan had dropped off in town has also disappeared. The apparition obviously intends to do whatever it has to in order to ensure his demands are met and until then Ethan, Abigail, Tony and the guests are all at its mercy.
Abigail harbors hope that Jacob, one of the original ghosts - and a friend, will escape the wraith's clutches long enough to clue them in on what needs to be done to release them all from the nightmare in which they've found themselves. In the meantime, the men devise plans to find and rescue the missing people while protecting the women. One of their plans is for the women to leave Adam's Point and stay at Caleb's Cove where they'll be safe. Only it soon becomes painfully obvious that the wraith's plans don't include allowing any of them any measure of safety. The only way to satisfy it is to return to the Inn and attempt to appease it somehow. Where have the missing people disappeared to and why? Will Jacob be able to break the wraith's hold and return to Abigail to let her know what's going on and what needs to be done to correct the situation?
After reading GATEKEEPER'S REALM I was fascinated with the characters and the vivid imagery that enthralled me throughout the storyline. I'm thrilled to say that Elena Dorothy Bowman's continuation of the story in ADAMS POINT contains all the same traits that have made the LEGACY series a thrilling read. I loved the men's alpha attitude and determination to protect the women and had to laugh at the women's not without us attitude. While the sinister apparition kept me guessing at what stunt it would pull next I was really hopeful to meet Jacob and learn just how he could help satisfy the wraith. I do have to confess while I was quite sure there would be a happy ending for the couples, I wasn't anticipating the emotions which I experienced at the end of the story - sorry I can't say more because it'd give too much away.
I would recommend reading all three of the books in the LEGACY series - HOUSE ON THE BLUFF, GATEKEEPER'S REALM and ADAM'S POINT in order to fully experience the wonders carefully hidden and guarded in this fascinating house/Inn.

You'll have to know what is the reason behind all the ghosts and events.
I'm pleased to recommend this tale to any reader who enjoys paranormal tales guaranteed to have you looking for other books by the same author.
