A cold knot formed itself in her stomach as she slowly walked to the living room. Her feet felt like weights were on them and it hurt to simply put one foot in front of the other. Her breath was closed around her throat preventing her from receiving the proper air. She waved her hand back and forth in front of her mouth trying to generate some type of circulation. She clenched her fingers until her hands entered her palm almost bringing blood to the surface. Irritated with herself she sought the first comfortable thing she saw, her favorite candle as she shook with hurry to light it. The beautiful orange and black candle had been given to her and Issac by Siah. Kneeling to strike the match she smiled weakly as the aroma of pumpkin filled the air.
Her mind fluttered away as anxiety finally began to fade away. She sat on the plush couch and grabbed a soft pillow as her head sank into it.
The sudden opening of the front door startled her as she sat up with fear in her eyes.
It was Issac. Her nerves tensed up immediately and the unwelcome tension stretched ever tighter between them. As he walked towards her the silence grew even tigher with tension.
