Rufus Puffin had been attacked by cats. It happened in the rain forest, while he was trying to scavenge food for Pengey Penguin. It happened because penguins can't fly and they were starving.
Now a very immediate problem reared an ugly head. By morning, a deep infection had set into Rufus's wing.
Now escape might be impossible and the ocean and its healing waters was much farther away than anyone had thought.

After many years, I am soon to be a grandmother again! With that in mind, I have been looking at children's clothes, gifts,toys and books for the future. That is how I happened to come across the book "The Many Adventures of Pengey Penguin". The main character, Pengey, is simply enchanting. He is helpful, loyal and quick to learn. I noticed another review that calls him "a good spokes person for penguins"...I have to agree and would say a good example for humans too! I also really enjoyed the Parrot from New York City! What a great "side-kick"!

My younger brother also wrote a review for this book. I read a chapter or two to him every night and I can tell you that this book really does keep his attention.
I also find it interesting and educational. I enjoyed reading this particular book to him because the characters are adorable (especially Pengey) and I don't get bored even if he wants to hear the same chapter over again.
I'm also teaching him to read it by himself. I just turned 14 and I would have liked to receive this book as a gift too when I was younger.

Even at the ripe old age of 39 I still enjoy a children's story every now and again, and when I have the chance to find one that truly transports me back to those years of my youth I have to rate it highly. "The Adventures of Pengey Penguin" is definitely one of those books that in my opinion should be rated as an instant classic. The tales of this wonderful creature are some of the most interesting, adventurous, and delightful stories I've ever read.
It is designed to be read aloud but I can't imagine any child or even any adult that would not enjoy this book immensely.

This is a great story about a little lost Soul who will not stop until he reaches his goal. This is the beginning of what promises to be a phenomenal series of children's books.
