I just finished reading Pol McShane's newest novel, Squish-Squash, and I just cannot get the story out of my mind. A close-knit group of friends plan a camping trip to the Louisiana bayou and encounter one of the creepiest creatures you could ever imagine. The author did such a great job describing the physical traits of this "thing" that I even had a nightmare about him. Let's just say I will not be planning any camping trips any time soon. Squish-Squash has made a lasting impression on me, I'm afraid. Squish-Squash is my favorite story that I have read by Pol McShane. I can't wait for his next book!
