Within the hour, the grasshopper’s worry had manifested.
The clouds had schemed to constitute their puzzle;
each took turns to obliterate the blue heavens.
The cooler breezes metamorphose the sultry air
into a cold turbulence.

I tend my plants,
I water and prune.
The wind becomes sprinkles then heavy rain.
The deluge escalates until the fierce display
knocks over the landscape with gusts;
leaves, twigs, and bugs fly through the air.
Lightning and thunder discharge in and out of clouds
while the booms of sound ring my ears.
