She gazed in the direction of the bathroom. She feared her sister Gade may have been in the ladies room and would come out any minute like a bat out of hell at the sight of her sitting at the bar with her date. "No I'm here all by my lonesome," he revealed. Saphire had a hard time believing what he'd just said. "Come on now, surely you are playing me. A handsome man like yourself here all alone? Well that's just terrible." she teased, giving him another one of her entising smiles. "Why didn't my sister oome along with you?" she questioned. Her main objective was to find out if the fire had died down between them yet. Gade wasn't exactly the type to keep a real man interested for very long, and since she didn't see Joe hanging around their home, she hoped with everything in her that this was the case. "Well actually, I did invite her, but she told me she had some serious studying to do." Joe responded. With a nod of her head she murmured, "Oh yes, she does have exams coming up." Saphire shifted her position on the bar stool. The lower half of the ruby-red wrapped dress she was wearing fell away, exposing her shapely legs, which Joe couldn't help but notice. Joe cleared his throat as he tore his eyes away. Lifting his eyes, he focused on Saphire's lovely face. He wanted to get to know the sexy woman who sat just inches away from him, but he didn't want to seem forward. "I'm not going to keep you here too long I don't want to be the cause of any friction between you and your...friend." he stammered. Amused by his concern, Saphire still wasn't ready to leave the man. There was definitely friction going on all right, and it was coming from the desire he was stirring within her. She felt as if a small fire was burning in the pit of her stomach and traveling...to, well, parts below. She wanted this man even though Gade saw him first. At that very moment, Saphire decided.
