Her mouth tasted bitter. Her hazel eyes felt heavy and turned into slits that could hardly see the figures that shifted around her. Lydian and Phrygian melodies turned her mind into blebs and balls of merging mercury as the air became thinner and thinner. She lay on her back but couldn't feel her stiffening body. She neither had a sense of space nor perspective; she only felt she had the consistency of some translucent, flying gelatine and her mind slowly gave in as the journey was on. An electric current ran through her, turning her entire being into sheer, scorching energy.
Yonah Yorke awakes with designs carved into her body and no memory. Frightened she goes to her lover friend to seek help. She is a whore and has no idea who the John was that had cut her; thereforeshe had no way of avoiding him. After healing she goes to a bar with her friend Linnea and picks up a lover. After having sex with him she is addicted to his body and loving. She allows him to do anything to her he wishes as long as he will keep making love to her. Unfortunately he is a demon and he is the one that is involved with the cuts in her flesh. Now she has cuts, chains, piercing and he isn't stopping. Her friend Linnea comes searching fro her after a month and discovers the horror the man has turned her into. Taking her away they try to heal her body and keep her safe from the witches chasing her. But can they escape?
This is a true horror, with little romance but lots of hot sexual situations. The author shocks us with the vicious use of Yonah's body, but he also makes her enjoy it while wishing to escape. There is so much in this book that it boggles the mind. This author has a fantastic imagination. The main characters are well established. The demons gave me the shivers and the sex was hot, the visuals are great, but the flow is a little awkward, as it switches from the main tale to the demon's version. If you enjoy erotic horror this book is for you.
