The beautiful wife of billionaire businessman Ethan Sommers slowly put the phone receiver on its hook and released a sigh of disbelief as she glanced at her watch, still lost in thought about the telephone conversation she had just finished with Boston's most in demand private investigator, Charles Mason -- a man from Nouri's past for whom she would always have deep feelings -- her first real man.
"Innocent, my fanny!" she mumbled under her breath, throwing her shoulders back against the soft leather office chair where she sat wondering what the famous P.I. was really up to.
She drummed her long coral-colored fingernails on the desktop in front of her. Her thoughts raced along in several directions at once as she tried make sense out of the unimaginable week she had just endured. A week that seemed to know no end! She glanced at the time again as her mind raced on...

A great read and a different type of Romance novel! Sizzling and erotic. (This old sailor discovered a page-turning mystery weaving through romance, steaming sex, and thrilling action. What more could a man of the sea want! I really enjoyed it.) Follow the confused heroine Nouri's travails as she fights her emotions to discover her true self- among the men she loves. Taylor Murray is catapulting upward in the romance-thriller genre. If you like Danielle Steele and Nora Roberts, you'll love Victoria Taylor Murray. Don't miss an opportunity to read her. I have been a huge fan of Victoria Taylor Murray since her first book was released, and book 3 in the Lambert series proves the author's talent grows stronger with each book. With most series by the third one, it all starts to get a little boring, well boring is not what you get here! No one can write romantic-suspense like Murray. Her books sizzle and keep the reader enthralled. In this installment we have the beautiful Nouri falling in love with the hot homicide detective. Oh, wow! A great love story that will leave you wanting more. I am sure this series will catapult this author to bestselling satus and I am anxiously awaiting number four.
Entertaining read … Recommended for those who enjoy the genre …. 5 stars

Following on the heels of Forbidden, the second in Writer Taylor’s Lambert Series comes the third: Friendly Enemies. Again Taylor’s account is filled with robust and unwavering characters set against a framework of conspiracy, deceitfulness and torrid romance. Forceful colloquy between the players set the stage for intrigue. The chronicle travels from Lambert near Cape Cod to France and China.
"Friendly Enemies" is highly entertaining if you are in the mood for lusty fun. It's definitely adult reading and I am so glad Ms Taylor Murray has the guts to give a good number of male writers a run for their money...that is to say: she writes in an unabashed way that might put a blush on the author of Candy's face. Moreover, once again I found not only beauty, but also humour, is very much in the eye - and mind - of the beholder. I blinked and grinned and shook my head as I was reading and wondering how firmly Ms Taylor kept her tongue in cheek when she penned this series about an endearingly naive heroine who plays with more than the hearts of her admirers.
