The life of a princess isn't all fun-filled travel, magnificent banquets and handsome princes. It's also devotion to duty, sacrifice for your people and a lot of just plain hard work. And if your country suffers two world wars and a communist takeover, it means danger and suffering, exile and heartache as well. Princess Ileana's deeply rooted Orthodox faith saw her through all this, and led her in later years to the peace of monasticism. But that life, too was hard - as Mother Alexandra, she was called to open the first English language Orthodox monastery in North America.
