Know Your Christian Rights
We as children of God need to recognize the authority that we have in Christ.
We find in Matthew 28 verse 18 that Jesus said,” All authority is given unto me both in Heaven and Earth”.
Who gave him this authority?
John 14 verse 10 we find that Jesus said in paraphrase “I do not speak of my own authority but the words that I speak are from the Father who dwells inside me”.
His authority was delegated unto him by the Father.
Everything Jesus did and said, He did it with the authority that God gave to Him. Jesus said both His words and His works were given to Him by God the Father.
The authority given to Jesus was not for a specific time but it is given for all Eternity.
It is important to know that God gave him a name above every name that is named and it is the only name that God will recognize for the forgiveness of sins.
The book of Ephesians declares that God hath made him to be head over all things to the church which is his body.
There is clarity that God hath made him both Lord and Christ.
The bible instructs us that the same authority that God placed on Christ is now delegated to us.
He desires for us to share his Glory with him and sit with him on his throne. We do this by accepting and exercising the authority that has been placed upon us as children of the living God.
We need to know this delegated authority and how it applies to our Christian life. Because we are the Body of Christ here on Earth and Jesus is the Head of the Body, we carry His Authority with us everywhere we go.
It is not Jesus who is physically walking on the earth today, but you and me.
God wants us to know that the authority that He has placed on Jesus Christ is now walking with us.
We apply this authority by realizing that we are the body of Christ on this Earth.
Jesus made the statement in John 16 verse 7 that he must go away or the comforter would not come.
We understand that Jesus was confined in his Earthly body when he walked on this planet. You had to be in the area where he was in order to get something from him.
We all know that God is omnipresent and is everywhere. His throne is in heaven and his wrath fuels the flames of hell.
The devil thought when he killed Jesus that he was doing away with the son of God. Jesus had to go away but not without a body here on this Earth.
Jesus defeated Satan on the cross and took the authority or (keys) of death, hell, and the grave out of his hands and placed him under his feet.
We find in Colossians 2:15 “Jesus disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in the cross.”
God came to set us free from the fear and bondage of the devil.
We are the body of Christ and now instead of having to deal with one man going about doing good and casting out devils, Satan now has to deal with the church which is the body of Christ.
When an invading army would over run a city, they would take the strong into captivity and make them their slaves.
They would leave the weak behind but they would salt their land so that they could not grow their crops and get strong again.
We are the salt per say that are supposed to keep the enemy’s kingdom from regrouping and getting strong again. It is up to us to keep him under our feet.
God's problem is not the power of the enemy but the weakness of a lukewarm compromising church.

Break Up Your Fallow Ground
It is time to have revival in our heart but before it can happen, we must allow God’s word to break us till there is none of us left. We need the hidden sins of the heart broken up. I am talking about the fountains of sin that are in the deep crevices of our heart. Now don’t get to saved on me for his word says that all have sinned and come short of his glory. This leaves none of us out because he says that our righteousness is as filthy rags. I dare you to look this up and see what it means. I will tell you that it is not pleasant. We need to look at the scripture below to see how far we have let down the standards of God.
Hosea Chapter 10:12.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow (uncultivated) ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Fallow ground is a piece of land that has not been tended. The elements have hardened it like a piece of plastic that has been seared in the fire. It would have to be soaked with water to be able to plow it. This is the way our hearts have become when we neglect praying and reading our bible. We will become complacent or satisfied and never give room for growth. I preached a message in my younger years from Proverbs 23:27 which states that a whore is a deep ditch and her steps lead to hell. It also states that you will find many bones of young men there. As we examine this, we find that a deep ditch usually has loose dirt around the top sides which means that it would be hard for us to get out should we fall in. This is like the sin that we let creep in unawares through our eye gate, and our ear gate. We get in trouble when we allow these things to get in our mind. It is a well known fact that battles are fought and won in our mind. Once these vices get in our mind, it will not be long until they get in our heart and our emotions will tell on us.
The bible says that out of the heart the mouth will speak and all these things come from the heart. The fountains of the sins of self-will, self gain, self motivation, selfish desires, and selfish choices need to be uprooted by the word and the Spirit of God. I am talking about the secret sins of gossiping, backbiting, and tale bearing. These are strictly condemned in Proverbs 6th chapter. Sometimes we sell out for personal gain or even from demands of loved ones or a close friend. We need our hearts stirred with Holy Ghost anointed preaching from someone who has spent time in their prayer closet with God. Someone who will preach the unadulterated word of God with power that will cause us to reexamine our self before a Holy God who hates sin. Too many are rebelling against his known will and are refusing to lay their life down for his service. We need the cresses of sin broken up and get rid of the angry spirit that seems to over take us when we least expect it. Jesus said if we save our life, we will lose it but if we lose our life for him, we shall find it. Too many people are living a self motivated life for their own gain and sometimes at the expense of others.
This is going on in the streets as drug dealers pry upon the innocent to enslave them into help meet their own gain. Sad but true, this spirit finds its way into the local assembly of our churches today causing confusion and church splits. This spirit when recognized, needs to be addressed and rebuked because it has no place in God’s children. Let’s not forget bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, envy and strife. Does it bother you to be over looked and see someone else promoted? This is envy and is strongly rebuked in God’s word. I know this may hurt a bit but if we are going to see a move of God on this planet, we are going to have to do some house cleaning and get our selves to the place where we can have a conscience void of any offense before God and our fellow men. I want us to now look at Joel 2: 12-13.
Joel 2:12-13
12Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning 13 And rend your hearts and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth of the evil.
The Lord here is calling for a personal repentance that comes from the heart. The heart is considered to include the intellect and emotions. In verses 15-17, the Lord is calling for a national repentance in a solemn assembly with no one being exempt. Read these verses with an open heart and let us ask our self, Am I satisfied with my life like it is or do I now catch myself developing a hunger for the mighty living God and do I now devote myself to pray for revival? Lord, please bring revival in my heart.
