“That damned sound again,” Phillis said to herself as she got to her feet and brushed off the beach sand. Aloud, she shouted, “O.K., whoever you are, get out here. Let me see you.” She waited. No movement, no sound from the dunes. Then… something seemed to be taking shape in the fog. “Who? Oh, it’s you,” she said and heaved a sigh of relief. “You frightened me for a moment. Thought it was someone who shouldn’t have been there. Heading back to the Cove?”

Another fine mystery from talented author Joseph E Wright! A fun read that will keep your attention as brother and sister, Pat Montgomary and Phillis Toner, set about solving a death threat in classy Maris Cove.
A phone call warns an old Latin teacher of Pat’s that one of the couple who want to buy a house in lovely Maris Cove will die if the sale is approved. The teacher contacts Pat and asks that he and Phillis come to Maris Cove to find out what is going on. Pat and Phillis have barely begun their investigation when death strikes. This changes the focus from what might have been a crank call to something a lot more serious. More difficult questions must be asked and the answers sifted for truth. What they learn means Maris Cove will never be the same. A well written tale with plenty of mystery. You’ll think you know who the villain is and find out you are wrong. Secrets aplenty, but the truth won’t be known until the end. A book to provide you reading enjoyment. I look forward to Mr. Wright’s next work.

Review: Maris Cove, an exclusive tight-knit community and one filled with mystery and danger. Pat Montgomery was called by his long time friend and old school teacher, Franklin, to come to Maris Cove in order to help stop a potential murder after he (Franklin) received an annonomous call saying that if they allow the Reitman’s to buy a recently vacant house one of the Reitman’s will be killed. Pat and his sister Phillis, amateur sleuths, take off to Maris Cove in order to try to help his friend and stop a potential murder.
Once Pat and Phillis arrive in the cosy community of Maris Cove, they meet with the wide mixture of residents that make up the small community. When the residents and the Reitman’s hear of the threat they still decide to go through with the vote to allow the Reitman’s to move in.
Bad mistake. Things go from a threat of a murder to an actual murder......or two....maybe three?
Can Pat and his sister Phillis solve the wide mystery and death that is surrounding the small exclusive community of Maris Cove? Everyone is hiding a secret...can Pat and Phillis find the clues that will lead them to the murderer before anyone else gets killed?
Murder In Maris Cove is a wonderful mystery filled story. Author Joseph Wright takes us on a wonderful journey throughout the whole story showing the readers the clues as they are found, telling us the fact finding progress of the characters and the sorting out of clues..allowing the reader to become an amateur sleuth in trying to solve the mystery set before them. Author, Joseph Wright is a very talented mystery writer in the talented way that while he gives you the clues and the step-by-step progress of finding and sorting through the clues, you still are kept in suspense through out the story until the very end. Murder In Maris Cove by Joseph Wright is a fast pace, detail filled story with interesting characters that Mystery Readers will greatly enjoy and one I gladly recommend.
