I would definitely recommend this book. It kept my attention the whole way through. And for anyone who has ever experienced the passing of a close family member, this book will pull on the strings of your heart while you watch the family in this book as they are forced to deal with their loss. It contains wisdom that can help families be healed from their past, and aid them in moving forward into their future.

Mrs. McMann’s lone wish was that her husband and their children, Chris, Shawn, Darryl and Dee could partake in a family meal after attending church service together. Unfortunately, time never seemed to be on anyone’s side. For Chris, the oldest son, it was his pastoral duties at his televised mega ministry. Shawn was a doctor with his own practice. And then the youngest two, Darryl and Dee, were stuck doing their thing.
Regrettably, time was no longer of the essence as Mrs. McMann had passed away. The Mcmann family must now come together without their peacemaker. Who will guide them through this difficult time?
Fortunately, the McMann family finds a way to come together and discuss the issues that they had with each other. Soon they discovered that after they talked to each other, they where able to see things from a different point of view, which enlightened them and brought them closer. As a pastor, Chris was able to help the family understand why God chose to take their mother as well as dealing with fate, churches and religion.
I’LL COME WHEN I GET MYSELF TOGETHER is a quick read that will give you insight on churches and ministers. But more importantly, it will help you to understand things about yourself as far as YOUR faith goes.
Do not be quick to judge what you see on the OUTSIDE because you never know the struggles the person went through, or are going through on the inside!!!
