Piggie Wiggie's Great Adventure is a silly and colorful adventure of a pet guinea pig that escapes from her cage and goes on an adventure of a life time. Piggie experiences life outside of her safe surroundings where everything seems so strange, loud, and unusual to her. She hears sounds and sees things that she has never seen before from her cage that was situated high on a shelf in Emmy's room. Piggie goes on a ride of a lifetime as she slides behind the wheel of a remote control Barbie car and accidentally presses the button and sets the wheels in motion. Piggie Wiggie is on the loose and finds herself in a remote control toy car. A noisy honking horn and a roaring engine add to Piggie's frightening thrill ride through the house. A collision with a pile of pillows ends the ride. Is the adventure over? Nope, after a huge vegetable feast, Piggie slips and falls into a bathtub filled with water and more toys. Piggie is able to get out of the tub only to have a face to face encounter with the cat! Will Piggie Wiggie survive her meeting with Scruffy the fierce feline? Will her people find her in time? You'll just have to pick up a copy to find out.
This animal adventure is geared for audiences aged 4 to 9. My four-year-old daughter enjoyed it but it didn't hold my six-year-old son's interest. He now needs rampaging dinosaurs and monstrous robots in his fiction. Piggie Wiggie's Great Adventure features the lovely
illustrations that Daley-Prado fans have come to expect. The story is silly and sweet and is sure to be enjoyed by children in the intended age group. Also included is some wonderful information about caring for pet guinea pigs.
