Destiny of the Sword PAPERBACK EDITION: Open your mind and heart to the immersive writing of Jeremy Twigg in "To Save Her," his second installment in "Destiny of the Sword." Well worth the nine year wait, this book is probably not exactly what you would expect if you read the first one. The author's writing has matured and evolved in some amazing ways. There are surprises with nearly every turn of a page.
Jeremy has maintained and even improved his ability to describe every minute detail in a way that leaves nothing to the imagination and can convince the reader that as the words are absorbed they become a 3D big screen movie in one's mind. For me, that is evidence of a highly skilled author. One has no need to guess about emotions, facial expressions, attire, colors, locations, scenery or scents. It is all there in glorious detail.
There are many, many battles in this installment, but they seem fresh and new and never fall into the "just another sword fight" category. There are dragons, kings, Milaks, Titans, spirits, humor and ongoing suspense. There is love and hate, devotion and alienation, victory and sacrifice. You will not be bored. This is a medieval fantasy romance adventure. Its foundation is love and loyalty to a woman, a family and a land. At its core is Ayden and a most magical sword.
Be sure to read the first installment of "Destiny of the Sword." Then delve into "To Save Her." Settle into a quiet place to read undisturbed. Then read this book twice. Yes. Twice.
