This is a second edition of my introspective book of poetry, written mostly in rhyme.
Under Construction is the latest work of JMariah, dealing with such topics as life, love and relationships. This book deals with the author as Dreamer, Lover, Poet, Woman and Friend. And in all aspects she sees herself as being "Under Construction".

Under Construction
And this is my heart,
Sprawled out on the page.
I'm a slave to its ruins,
Well-weathered with age.
Lost deep in a rumble,
And torn by the deep,
Thrown open in silence,
Dark shadows to keep.
Move o'er me flood waters,
And wildly embrace,
Fill me with the pleasures,
Still haunting this place.
Oh, run to me swiftly,
Through thistle and thorn,
And linger her sweetly
From dark until dawn.
And find in the rubble
A still place to hide,
While budding emotions
Grow wildly inside.
I Think of You
I walk through the annals in the caves of my mind,
As a breeze flicks a tuft of my hair.
It smells of the memories I've gone there to find,
Those I tenderly stored away there.
I wander the halls where those memories were left,
And the breeze whispers into my ear.
It beckons me deeper 'mid cavern and cleft
Where it dances the echoes I hear.
I search through the chambers 'mid cobwebs and dust,
As my longing incites me to do.
And I peer 'neath the layers of loving and lust,
Then I smile, for there I find you.
I flip through the pages where months become years,
And relish the days I replay.
Then tenderly re-file the laughter and tears
For the next time that I pass this way.
