Prologue
A
nastasia, the author, is disabled. Her disabilities include ADHD, Bi-Polar, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Arthritis, Bursitis, DDD, IBS, and Agoraphobia. She also has some bone degeneration in her neck. There is a possibility of her also having fibromylasia.
The purpose of her poetry is therapy. Therapists have often said that writing or journaling are wonderful channels for tapping into traumatic events in her life. She chose poetry and has been writing it as far back as 1986.
She has won a couple of Editors Choice Awards on five or more of her pieces when she entered her poetry into some contests. Prior to each piece there will be a short description of the event or events in her life that led to that writing. They are in no way to insult any one person(s). These pieces are her thoughts and feelings about various situations and person(s) and have helped her deal with the issues brought to the surface from thoughts and emotions dealt with during therapy.
Chapter One
T
his chapter will reveal poetry about good feelings from various people and events in my life. The poetry has come from various joys in my life and my imagination. There is also a real dream that I had over and over again that haunted me until I put it into words. I will also briefly explain some of the thoughts and information that led to the writing throughout this book.
MOM OF MANY
This poem is written about a lovely woman who is surely bound for sainthood if she hasnt already achieved it. She has adopted a huge, lovely family whilst going through a few medical hardships of her own.
There is no count
Of the lives of children she touched.
Her love hasnt any boundary.
She never considered their plights that of misery.
She herself has suffered so,
With a great many things faced.
Never does she seem downtrodden or low,
So sad it will be when she goes.
Her function here is without fear.
Striving evermore,
She has never kept score.
I believe before she leaves,
HE will tally that score.
With each childs life she has made complete.
If shes faint of heart-it never shows.
Mention her children and she glows.
Having the largest heart,
The biggest part
Being the role she plays.
She prays that her time for each child is never to end.
If it is so, hope only to have it begin again.
Child after child after child,
She makes their lives whole.
When shes gone
Therell be many a large, empty hole.
