The year is 2011 Eddie Johnson writes his journal to try to explain what is going in America and around the world. Eddie along with other characters reflect on what happened in the recent past that lead to events depicted in his journal between 2011 and 2013.
Every nation is battling either internally or with each other. It started in the Middle East with the surrounding Islamic countries attacking Israel. The leader of Iran, believing the 12th Imam was returning, encouraged all Muslim people around the world to attack the cities of the infidels. Believing the 12th Imam had arrived at the mosque of Jamkaran and fulfilling the Islamic prophecy, radical Muslims take up arms in every country that is not of the true faith. Hundreds of thousands are dead or dying in every major city in America, England, France, Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the list goes go on. Seeing an opportunity, North Korea overruns South Korea and China attacks Taiwan seeking reunification. It is Sunday July 4, 2011 and one man in a small rural area of America writes his journal describing the events as they happen and reflects on how things got to where they are from 2007 to 2013. How did it happen, how did we loose in Iraq and Afghanistan? How could the politicians have miscalculated what would happen after we left Baghdad? What political intrigue led to the fall of Taiwan and the resurgence of the conflict on the Korean peninsula? Who will the American public blame for the situation they are facing? These are some of the questions Eddie Johnson reflects upon in his journal.

As the nation looks for guidance through prayer, the following is heard.
"I heard you in your hour of need,
But they were simply prayers of greed.
You asked that I should lead the way,
But failed to hear the words I say.
To hear these words you must repent,
Then open your hearts to the son I sent.
Your faith in me and my son
will lead your way to act as one.
Open up your heart and mind
Guidance, comfort and peace on earth
You will find.
I heard your children weep and pray
Still your nation looked away.
Now you wander if I’m gone,
and if you’re on this path alone.
