Pat Patterson joins the Marines in 1942, stays in until 1961. Falls in love with Mary Jean Waldref but she hesitates to marry him until 1951. They lived in Laguna Beach and had a son, Rob, in 1957. They traveled quite a bit until 1997 when Pat was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. He died in 2000 and Mary Jean died in 2004.
He had won a DFC in World War II and also in the Korean War.
He and Mary Jean had a wonderful love story.
