All live with the harsh reality of impending world war, the disease, starvation and death brought about by man’s thirst for power. But another force, representatives of an alien civilization, arrives to take control of earth. What are their motives? Do they come to save or to conquer?

“The air was full of dust as the crew from the spaceship disembarked. All knew that the inhabitants of this world were oblivious to their impending doom. Only the movement of heavy objects was noticeable in the twilight. Thoughts of the crew centered on one thing, “Could a few be saved?” These aliens were of a vastly superior genre. They existed in another time and looked upon the earth as an outcast planet, struggling to survive the physical. In the end, only death would serve to make the inhabitants tolerable.”
“In the trodden slime the Hashas were quiet for they could now make their plans. The slime could be seen creeping across the planet, forming a pattern as it moved, as their bellies craved the reward they would receive if all went well. Coa’s third eye could see the challenge presented to her, but to the tired Qo who lay in her gel, nothing but peace was felt.”
“If only I could go back, Zkan thought sadly. Then the grave mistakes I made as Qo would never have happened, and the debt to the old Guardian need not have occurred. Coa knew nothing of debts, understanding only the purpose motivating her being. No harm would come to her for she was one of the givers of life, and only when a new Osho appeared to take her place could she travel on.”
