The Turbulent 60's Poetry takes us back to a time when Freedom wasn't free. Racism was alive and well. The Civil Rightsj movement was making progress. But not fast enough!
The Turbulent 60's Poetry is the third and most controversial of all my poetry books. It's about the on-going struggle of the sixties. Seventeen sixty, Eighteen sixty, then the turbulent 60's. I had become of age and was bitter about what my country had done to me. Yet, in spite of all the injustices done to me I have not and never will advocate any subversive activity against my country the United States America. That's the Black and White bond slave and master established early in America's development. Although in my bitterness I did answer one of JFK's Famous quotes with one of my own. "Ask not what you can do for your country, 'cause what in the F_ _ _ _ has it done for you!

A Day in a Life
It's a humid, sticky kind of day.
My eyes burn from sweat my clothes
all sticky and wet.
It's burning up, no place to go nothing to do. The beaches are over crowded and polluted too.
My brain is on fire, tempers are short.
Things could really get out of hand if trouble starts.
The heat has brought out the Mosquitoes they're eating me alive and making the baby cry. Because he's hot and can't breath.
Now somebody's screaming 'call the cops'. Because neighborhood thugs are throwing rocks at passing cars.
I think I just heard a couple of shots which means serious trouble on this block. Think I'll lock my door and ignore the confusion outside.
Pour myself a drink and just let the baby cry, and let the baby cry. While I get myself plenty high. Then whatever happens just happens.
