Father’s Day Mom

Happy father’s day mom, you earned that title

when daddy went away.  You could’ve left too,

but instead chose to stay. Sheltered me from dangers. showed me the way. What else can I say?

            But happy father’s day mom!

            and if anybody thinks that

            I’m trying to be funny.

It’s only because they haven’t invested their time, love and money.  Always, always there to teach, nurture and share. Making sure I always had.

            When times were good or really bad.

            It’s now your time to share in the pride

            of the soul you created and kept alive.
