All by Myself Poetry is where it all began. The journey is just beginning.
All By Myself Poetry is a four decade struggle of trials, trubulations and where it all began for me as a poet. Back in the sixties Black artists had no area of expression except for Jet Magazine. Racism was alive and well. Black people were not allowed to participate in the American dream simply because of their skin color. It was in this setting that I first began to pen my thoughts, trying to make sense out of something that made no sense. Yet, in spite of all the crueal things my country has done to me. I have not and never will speak out against her. Between these pages lies the hope, dissappointment and limited successes of a Black man strugging for equality in America.

Visions
I saw hurt reflected in eyes of a love un-answered. I heard dogs barking with bated breath in the ebony darkness.
I tasted warm, salty tears on a cold night's waiting.
I smelled your freshness as I remembered my reasons for your absense.
Then the icy rain attacked my face as I stood alone in the cold night air, just not caring.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
