My book "Desert Flower" has popular poems from my first book, "Feelings of Love and Loss" and my book in progress, "Through the Windows to My Soul". I feel there is a love poem that everyone can relate to, happy or sad. I tried to combine as many levels of love into my poetry to accommodate the satiating need to fulfill a desire for love. This book is dedicated to my husband who has inspired most of my poems over the past 4 months. I have drawn on my experiences in my life to write my words down. Each new poem relates to a special moment in my life. "Time" was written as I waited for a connecting flight to go to my wedding. "A Marriage" was written on my wedding day. The sadder poems are from previous relationships in my life.

Dancing on the shore as the waves crash upon my feet,
Just as the enchanted nymph in the mystic breeze.
Darkness falls upon me as the day gives way to night,
Captivated by the spellbinding glow of moonlight.
Far across the sea your gentle whisper carries to me,
Love and devotion for my tender heart to receive.
Where there was once darkness and sadness,
Now dazzled by your heavenly charm with gladness.
Enraptured by your love that delights my soul,
Captured my devotion with intoxicating control.
Softly your heart sings a love song sweet and gentle,
A dreamy lullaby enticing and sentimental.
Consumed with the emotions engulfing my heart.
Entranced by your love a magical romance starts.
