Resman quickly develops a following, and soon “Resmanism” is sweeping across America and around the world.

Synopsis of Resman Speaks
“Resman speaks” - by Amo Sulaiman, 83,800 words and a postmodern fiction tale, is a gripping work about the main character, Resman who is much more than an ordinary person and teams up with a young man, Felix-Ed, to save America from its own cruel destiny of self-destruction. Resman must confront suffering and constant danger in his endeavor to teach Americans about their responsibilities, and to meet the America President who sets up unreasonable barriers to prevent his mission. The federalist President does everything to undermine the regionalist movement of which Resman is the unofficial leader. “Responsibility speaks to Americans” is depicted in the 21st century in which Resman speaks vividly, ironically and lyrically in parables and Felix-Ed hilariously walks through important periods of American history in order to accomplish their mission of the new America.

Being thrown into a hostile environment and struggling for their lives in the Nevada Desert, Resman is determined to meet the President of the United States of America.
Resman and Felix-Ed arrive at a small western town (representing the early west) that lives from illegal trading, but the town’s inhabitants see the two intruders and the President’s federal agents drive them away from town. The next town, The Circle, (puritan settlers living at the edge of corruption) is much more dangerous; they are badly beaten and then driven out of town. With a handful of followers, Resman and Felix-Ed stay at a motel (prosperity is the cornerstone of the American dream) to teach commuters about their responsibilities. Then they are tricked into working on a Farm (the end of the North/South conflict and freedom for slaves); Resman speaks to farmers and ranchers, and the manifestation of the regionalists’ America, a counter force against the federalists, starts to gain momentum when regionalists kidnap Resman and Felix-Ed. Taken to an underground hideout, the allegory (forging of the American constitution), shows how the protagonists are humble in the face of the new constitution.
When the federalists attempt to undermine the regionalists’ movement by accusing Resman and Felix-Ed of gruesome crimes, the regionalists put an undercover agent, Dorea, a beautiful young woman, with Resman and Felix-Ed, and she arranges valuable meetings and protection for Resman. In Chicago (industrialization as the new American dream), Resman manages to speak to a group of industrialists, ignites the regionalists’ cause to an inferno, and has sufficient time to escape his pursuers. Taking refuge in Harlem (the prize of prosperity is misery) Resman doesn’t want to give up his mission. With some help from New Yorkers, Resman secretly enters the UN (expansionism from America to the ‘United States of America’) where he tells the President about the sores in his federalist America. When the federalists hire assassins, the regionalists cannot provide any adequate protection for Resman, so he has to go abroad (the grand USA implies driving away Americans from their homeland).
On their way to South Africa, Dorea shares her cabin with her lover, Felix-Ed, and realizes that she is also attached to Resman. But Resman rejects her advances because he is a woman. From Africa to Europe, they decide to go to South America where Dorea truly understands that her feelings toward Resman are her wanting to possess the American Dream. Traveling abroad (the USA is seen as an image without any genuine substance), Resman realizes that his mission is not complete.
In Ecuador, federalist agents kidnap Dorea, and Resman and Felix-Ed have to face great danger to rescue her. After this ordeal, she wants to go home, and she doesn’t want the American Dream to die in South America, so Resman follows. Arriving in America, Resman’s inevitable movement is gaining irreversible momentum. But this time, Dorea has to choose between her lover and the American Dream – regionalist America.
Responsibility speaks to Americans shows us that responsibility is the cornerstone of the smaller America. Moreover, any reader will enjoy this work without having any knowledge of the American history or knowing anything about the fusion of philosophy, literature and poetry.
