Mary Magdalene is a character in the first four books of the New Testament. The fictional account is how she may have spent her early years and how Jesus' actions on ridding her of the seven demons which possessed her. Also told are possible times she may have crossed paths with Jesus and perhaps witnessed some of his miracles and teachings. The nonfictional parts include her actions during the crucifixion of Jesus and the fact that she was the first person who witnessed the risen Savior.

When she had answered the angels, she turned away from the tomb and saw someone standing and looking at her. Through a veil of tears her eyes were laden with, she supposed it was the gardener. He spoke.
“Woman, why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou?”
“Sir, if you have borne the Savior’s body please tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.”
Mary longed to see Jesus’ body and see that it was properly cared for with the spices. She looked down a few seconds hoping for an answer so that she could use the sweet spices to anoint Jesus’ body. It was the last and only thing she could do for Jesus.
Then the man’s face changed, and Mary could see clearly. He spoke her name, the sound of his voice so touching, so gently, so endearing.
“Mary.” The tone with which he said her name. She was filled with gladness, remembering and never forgetting that same tone, that same inflection to his voice at the moment he rid her of the seven demons.
