This book is a series of true life stories. Each had the potential to have ended with real death. More than a dozen times in my life, things could have ended poorly, from the hands of others, accidents, or from failure in my health.
Each of the stories (except for the first two) are told by me in the first-person. I was there and can describe the events. The first two instances are based on narratives told to me by the one that tried to kill me. Some would say I’m lucky. I’d rather say I’m fortunate. I’m blessed, a benefactor of God’s grace and mercy.
Nothing happens by accident and my being here today is because God has, and continues to have, a plan for me. I wish I could say with certainty what that plan is, but I don’t yet know. God gives us each day, each heartbeat, and each breath.
My intent for this book is to show that life can move forward, for both your life and mine after challenging circumstances. Each day we walk through life without a clue of where others are mentally, physically, or emotionally. If we did, we might show greater levels of kindness, or see others more kind to us. In a world of self-absorption, many have no idea where we are in ours.

This is an incredible story of hope, courage, and resilience in the face of adversity. Mr. Davis has beautifully written about some of his own life's toughest challenges with events that would certainly shake or dehabilitate others.
Instead of allowing his circumstances to form his mindset, he found the willpower to move forward with God's grace and redemption. This book is a must read and Mr. Davis is a living example of how to rise above the storms of life that we may find ourselves in and to trust that no matter what comes our way God is our fortress and help in times of trouble.
A Truly Gripping Account of This Man's Life
This really is a "page turner" because the reader wants to know what happens next. Each chapter recalls an instant in the author's life...in his own words... that could have been different....or tragic...without the guidance from above. Looking at the author now, I would never have assumed all these terrifying events had brought him to where he is in his life's journey. Clearly the hand of God helped to guide him to safety many, many times and has become a beacon of light that, with God, will shine on his future. The rest of his life will happen on purpose.

It's amazing to see how many insights Anthony had after suffering a stroke. This is the kind of work that is inspirational and amazingly written because it comes from his heart, sincerity, and passion, we can tell that, and even feel what he felt within a compassionate reading.
Throughout the stories, so many values can be taken, lessons to be learned, and reflections about details. It's a very enjoyable journey of stories that were experienced by humans, with feelings, fears, frustrations, and perspectives, like we all do.
I loved the way the Author connected scriptures from the Bible, showing the Christian perspective. I as a Christan myself, like reading with these links! It's such a rich thing to do. Thanks for this work put together!
