This book was written after learning of the shocking betrayal of a trusted employee in the company. Seniors and elderly living in their homes, were fraudulently abused of their life savings. This is a crime that in many cases is going unpunished by these predators. They earn their trust, working there way into the homes of the most vulnerable in our society. The stories are shocking, frightening and heart wrenching, yet give the reader a glimpse into the perils which face seniors who live alone.

Andrea was only now coming to terms with the fact she had been lying for Maureen all along. She was very emotional and confused. Andrea was tearful, but at the same time she was very angry. Maureen had taken advantage of her. Now more than ever, she was willing to pass on every document and paper she had kept. Andrea wanted everyone to see the truth about Maureen. Her admiration and trust for her was gone and Andrea knew she had nothing more to lose. The documents that Andrea shared became evidence and a turning point in getting to the truth.

This book, Caregiver or Taker is an eye-opener to the things that can go all wrong when you hire someone like Maureen Branden. J.W. keeps you wanting to read on. Anyone who has aging parents, or those in the Caregiving Industry should read this book! From the beginning until the end the author kept me interested in wondering what was going to happen next. I didn't want to put the book down until I was finished. I was extremely pleased with the warning that was given here regarding Caregivers.
