Based loosely on Russian folklore and set in the Early 1900's, this story follows the escapades of a young man who ventures away from home for the first time, to enter a type of contest. In the process of fulfilling contest requirements, he learns new things, sees new places, meets and befriends many new people and creatures --- and ultimately, finds his own highest potential and self-esteem, as well as allowing his family to see him in a new light.
