She spent her entire life waiting for her “Knight in Shining Armor”. The infallible fairy tale of being carried away on a white horse that she fell in love with as a child; followed her into young adulthood. By the time Jola went to college she was terrified of the world, which had forsaken her time and time again. She hoped to be rescued from the turmoil that was ever present in the depths of her soul. There were many people with whom she had come in contact with in her life who hid behind the façade of love, nevertheless were all mentally, physically, emotionally, and sexually abusive. Therefore, by early adulthood, Jola found herself in the constant downward spiral of self-pity and worthlessness. She was on a road that would end in a proverbial fork that not only she would be able to decide which way to go. She was completely clueless as to which direction to pursue. Blinded by the tears of her past that clouded the view of her present, Jola was driven by a fuel that would eventually burn many bridges forever, never to be rebuilt. Yet, amidst of the emotional wreckage in her mind, she continued to follow her pursuit of finding love no matter what the cost. They say that hindsight is 20/20, but had Jola known just how accurate that colloquialism was, she would have done a few things differently. Still the question remains, would it be too late to change the ultimate fate of her heart’s break as the drama slowly unfolds and does not hesitate?
I received your book on yesterday and I could not put the book down until I
completed it. Even though I know most of the story it was and still is exciting
to see it in print. You have provided light to the dark. In this you have
proven the resiliency, strength and diversity that makes our family what it is,
the good, the bad, the ugly and the success. I salute you and wish you

need for you to sign the book. I can only see greater things in your future and
continue to write because it becomes you.
