A beautiful Las Vegas detective tracks a vicious spy to find her brother's killer and stumbles onto a top secret missile project.
An Air Force pilot is coerced into a conspiracy to steal a prototype secret missile. He believes he is working undercover and willingly allows the missile to fall into soviet hands. He is doubled-crossed by a turncoat USAF Office of Special Investigation agent who is controlled by a soviet spy. The pilot dies during a test flight in a crash rigged by Russian agents. The actual act of espionage is accidentally witnessed by an old prospector who tells his friend, a high ranking USAF official, and the pilot is branded a traitor.
The pilot's sister, Kyllan Shanigan, an ex cop, now stripper turns private investigator sets out to clear her brother's name and avenge his death after the prospector contacts her because he has doubts about the her brother's guilt. The prospector, who is actually a wealthy retired businessman, becomes Kyllan's benefactor and mentor. With the help of her ex lover, a Las Vegas Police homicide detective, Kyllan uncovers a conspiracy that is stealing military secrets.
Hammer, a deep cover soviet spy, masterminds the conspiracy by blackmailing several key military people assigned to Nellis Air Force Base, Nv., where the secret missile test are being conducted. The handsome spy is a sadistic killer and will stop at nothing to keep his anonymity.

“Damn fool,” he muttered to himself. Didn’t that jackass pilot realize the danger of thermals air currents flowing up that pass? Being a former pilot, the wintry miner knew the possibility of clear air turbulence in the desert especially in mountainous terrain. Flying low over a pass with an asphalt highway was dangerous because the road held the heat longer and was several degrees warmer than the desert floor causing thermal winds to flow up from the heated roadbed. Hell that was asking for trouble.
The risk of low level flying over a forty-eight hundred-foot mountain was evident to the old man. He was an ex fighter pilot and knew the treacherous unseen air currents could toss an airplane up or down in a fraction of a second like a giant invisible hand sweeping it aside. So he did find it odd for several reasons. Why risk a life and an airplane costing several millions dollars? Secondly, he prospected a lot in this area and knew that most of the gunnery range flying was done to the west and further south of his camp.
He watched the plane bob up and start to roll as it cleared the pass and secretly admired the pilot’s skill as he trimmed and settled the aircraft. Suddenly the landing gear doors opened and the wheels snapped down into view. The damn fool was going to try a landing on the highway!
