This book is quite interesting. Most of all I enjoyed much of his commentary on the book of Enoch. The analysis of the book of Revelation is also interesting and quite shocking in some places. Through this entire book I kept thinking, "This might actually be true, and if it is we are all in some serious trouble." I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to substantiate the theory that the aliens of today are the demons and evil spirits of the old and new testaments and the idea that they are returning...but not to save humanity.

The first four fifths of this book is easily one of the best UFO books we have ever read. As you know, it takes on the BIG book itself, the Bible. And it attacks it line for line, page by page. Anything that could possibly be a sign of technology is ferreted out and dissected down to the minutest detail. If you think Yahweh is the Supreme Being, creator of the universe and everything in it, then this book is not for you. Though it should be. But if like us, you see signs of weakness in Yahweh throughout the Bible then you should find this one very delicious. That's right, you will eat it up.
It's clear that Yahweh wields some very impressive powers, but he is far from all powerful and he is jealous as hell of other "Gods." And all of this will become clearer to you as you read the book.
The description of how the Earth was "made" is very enlightening. It may change your whole concept of how you've read the beginning of Genesis. Even more fascinating for us was the explanation of the Deluge. Not only how most of the Earth could be covered by water, but where all the water went afterwards. It's one of those "why didn't I think of that?" moments. Of course we don't think that way because we are not thinking of such high levels of technology. But those high levels are not improbable, no matter how fantastic they seem at first read. And they are only fantastic because they are so far in advance of the scientific powers humans can control today. I mean we are talking about a highly advanced extraterrestrial space faring civilization here whose powers may be way beyond our current scientific grasp.
If you are one of us that know that "They" are here now, then the idea that they, or others like them, have been here before, is rather common sense. And by that measure you should enjoy this book immensely. The descriptions of how the saucers actually fly is invaluable and can be related to most every AFV report made today.
If you are wondering about the last fifth of the book, and you have read the other reviews here... well let's just say that it is possible, if hard to digest. But then that is probably why the author has a follow up manuscript, one that he says no one is willing to publish, but one you can receive by email. We look forward to reading it, as I think you will too.
The claim that it took 13 years to write 'The Broken Bible' seems easily substantiated by the amount of thought and detail the author put into each problem that is tackled.
If the idea of Ancient Astronauts intrigues you, then you should enjoy this book. We sure did.
Biblical Clues to UFO's

As a person that is knowledgeable of scriptures, I was incredibly rewarded to read this book and see that it wasn't just myself that saw some scriptures that screamed 'more than your pastor is telling you'. There is such an obvious connection between angels, demons, UFO's, creation, miracles and technology. This is not for the closed minded Bible thumpers, but for those of us that are educated, rational and open to what is actually written in the Bible, not someone's interpretations (usually your parent's or pastor's). Mr Chitty is cautious, careful, specific and thorough in his analysis. This is not a casual read, but an end result of years of research and review, written in an easy to read and laboriously detailed outline of chronological, step by step, events as they are documented in the Bible and other ancient books of reference. These events and descriptions are not hidden, but blatantly clear. Mr Chitty points out things that you always wondered about-- and not just Ezekiel! It hits you to the core when you read this book and see it from an outside point of view, stepping aside of your cloak of religious beliefs. With our current knowledge of ancient religious beliefs and their origins, our historical knowledge of cave paintings, large scale stellar patterns on earth, even medieval tapestries showing UFO's, this book fits perfectly to connect the dots. With today's technology, we are finally able to comprehend and understand what the Bible is really saying. I would challenge anyone to read this book, even if it brings up endless discussions and questions. Most importantly, this book will challenge your core beliefs that have padded our lives with a faith that answers all those unanswerable questions. It provides a logical explanation to what we have glorified and conflicted over for centuries. Mr Chitty made no religious statements, absolutely none. But he sure makes you think about your own. Be prepared to be astounded.

I have always thought that with constant translations, many things were wrong and/or misleading, or Misinterpreted.
Believe there are Aliens and they are amongst us.
In the beginning, appears to be terraforming, tractor beams, force fields, matter transfer; "Beam me up, Scotty". Maybe Holograms.
Sure sounds like Star Trek, Star Wars.
Currently reading Bible, but will now read with different eyes.
There seem to be weaknesses and discrepancies, I can't quite put my finger on.
My perspective has changed, though I have always seen the possibility/probability of other world assistance with the pyramids. As for sightings of strange animals, Bigfoot, Yeti, Nessie, etc. Does make you wonder.
Now to reread in case I may have missed something.
I wanted to check this book out because it's an interesting cross-road of two of my interests, that being extra-terrestrials and religious studies. I wasn't entirely certain if I would get the ravings of a mad-man, or a well-researched study about possible evidence of extra-terrestrial activity. I would say, this is somewhere down the middle. I recognize that since I don't fully buy into his thesis I'm not terribly convinced by Chitty's arguments, but let me just break this down into what I think worked and what I didn't.
What works:
It's organized very well. This is something ridiculously undervalued by some people. When reading a 'research' paper it is tedious, at best, if the information is random and not grouped properly together. Being organized by bible chapter makes it easily accessible even for casual readers. If you've ever read a part of the bible and thought 'hey was that an alien?' you could very easily pick up this book and find the passage you were thinking of to see what argument Chitty has made about it. This book, ironically, would be a fairly good reference book.
It also seems clear that Chitty is a very intriguing man who has, if nothing else, read the bible several times and is very careful in his conclusions. He has used a great wealth of information (mostly UFO witness testimonials) to help write this book. I think it's commendable how much effort he's put into this book, whatever one might think about the subject.
What doesn't:
Every source Chitty uses to prove his interpretation of the bible is hearsay. Chitty does not reference any other published works investigating evidence of UFOs in the bible. These works exist. By omitting references it looks like he is trying to avoid different opinions - but how can you come to a conclusion on something without coming to a consensus using all the available 'facts'? So, while this book may be interesting and even thought provoking at times, it remains to me to be little more than a thought experiment.
"What if god *was* an alien?" And that, *is* an interesting thought...

Beyond all expectation, this is not the first book I have read that engages in speculation concerning extraterrestrials in the Bible [1], nor is this even the first book that has connected the sightings of little gray men and supposed UFOs to the activity of Satan and his demons [2]. This might be taken sensibly enough as all the evidence one needs to prove that I read too many books, especially too many very odd books, and that would certainly be true. Even so, I expected to find this book as something ridiculous and found it to be something worthy of serious thought. The author's approach to the Bible is one that many people share, even if their contents are far more conventional than this one. The author, for whatever reason, considers the Bible to be broken, and mines the Bible (as well as a lot of esoteric extrabiblical literature like the Book of Enoch and others) for language that can be viewed as metaphorical for various craft and superpowered weapons, rather than looking at the Bible as having anything to say about his own brokenness. If this book is extremely odd, it is odd from very common premises that see the Bible as a fertile ground for one's own speculations and ideas rather than as an authority in one's life.
This book, in over 350 pages, manages to briefly (!) cover supposed interactions with God, the angels, and demons as highly advanced human-like species with immensely complicated technologies from the biblical material in the Old Testament. At several points the author states that books could be written about certain things, and one getes the sense that such books may be written and published by the author in the future if time permits. The chapters of the book cover material like Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Kings & Chronicles, Ezekiel, and Isaiah & Jeremiah. The author also intersperses material from Job and the Psalms. The approach is fairly similar throughout, with the author looking at the Bible through the lens of his perspective and interests and seeking to interpret passes analogically as if the various ancients of biblical times simply lacked the language to describe the advanced technologies they were seeing, which they described as best as they could. This is, it should be noted, the way that contemporary futurists view the book of Revelation. The author even admits at least some of the times he engages in speculation, which is something to appreciate even if the author's conclusions are highly unconventional, to put it very mildly.
There is a certain type of reader that I can recommend this book to. If you like unconventional books that are written from the perspective of the contemporary and that mind the Bible for evidence to support personal theories, this book may be something viewed as entertaining or enlightening. This book is one of those books where your appreciation of it will depend either on you agreeing or at least understanding his presuppositions. I happen to disagree with his presuppositions and approach, but it is an approach at least that I understand, and one that is fairly common in my reading. The author is clearly serious about his writing, and this is not a book that was written as a joke, but rather as a labor of love from a man who clearly reads and takes seriously the wide literature in the field of supposed close encounters with aliens. Whether or not this is the sort of book that you want to read will have to depend on your tolerance for the author's perspective, as is the case often with works of this nature.
