Gallagher (who writes fiction as Cynthia Polansky) is a comprehensive guide to all things "APBT" (no self-respecting lover of this breed would ever call it a "pit bull").  The breed's history and origins in blood sports unfortunately haunts it even today, but this book debunks the myths and erroneous information surrounding a breed perceived by many as inherently vicious (it's definitely a lover, not a fighter).  Care, feeding, training, activities are all included, as well as a training CD that explains how to teach the powerful, intelligent, eager-to-please APBT to be a socially welcome dog.
